We are in Istanbul for some meetings and a follow-up doctors visit on Faith and just thought we might try out a little something we like to call HEAVEN!!! Yes we did order 2 DOZEN! We also walked most of the way home….

Church with friends in Istanbul
Dutch Chapel
Spring in Southern Russia, April 11, 2010
We took a long walk in one of our favorite valleys about 15 minutes from our house. We love exploring and had a great time of worship on this day.
Grant boxes a GIRL...
Yes Grant is boxing with Leana our language teacher. I've always taught him not to hit a girl and he did just that. :)
A Boys Day Out in the Woods
We went for a walk in the woods this day and as always we took our ropes and toys. We set up a zip line but didn't have much luck at making it work that day. We are still in the process of perfecting it.
The kids and their friends
A few of our friends that live next door. These are the girls that stand at our gate and call to the kids to come out and play.
Young Pups..
Still young and still in love...just don't look at the wrinkles or loss of hair on my (courts) head.
The Girls
So sweet!
The Boys
Yes this is how they always treat each other! Love, respect and all smiles.... :p
The whole family
Yes we all get into the costume fun around here!
Just a little cheese
Here Luke in all his goofiness. Some friends sent over a package of goodies and as you can see Luke was loving the gum so we snapped a picture of him showing his appreciation.
Yes those are thick and jucy HAMBURGERS!!
Oh man were they good! Elizabeth used her secret recipe for some world famous hamburgers. They tasted just like the black angus burgers in the States. Oh and that's my $ 100 bar-b-que grill that I affectionately call 'The Hunk of JUNK'! It came out of the box missing about half of it's parts. It works but just barely.
The wild and crazy kids of a Russian 4th of July
Here is one of the only shots we have of all our kids standing still at the same time! Thank you Jonny for capturing the moment. We are missing one little guy (little C) that will be back in the city soon. If I was a photoshop wizard I would paste him in. Next year Little C will be front and center.
Monkey #2
Grant flew up the rope and has since asked to try and find taller places to practice and play.
Whitney just hanging around.
We were having a little fun in the back yard climbing a tree. Our three older kids practiced using a Prusik knot to climb a fixed rope. They all did a very good job and if you've ever tried it you’ll know it’s not easy. I’ve been finding and buying a little climbing/repelling gear as I find it and can afford it. We hope to get some time to wonder off into the hill and find a few places to do both. The kids love to rock climb and once we let them repel I know they’ll love that as well.
Again our neighbor working.
Here she is spinning wool that she will use to nit or embroider into some type of clothing.
Easter Family Photo
Here we are in our Easter pose in front of the house on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny and warm day.
Grants new bike
Grant received an early birthday present since his birthday is in August and to near the end of the summer to enjoy it. As you can see Luke also found himself with a fun toy.
Luke and Jamilla our language teacher
Luke enjoys a swing with Jamilla our language teacher. They truly love each other and he enjoys much being spoiled by her.
Our 70 year old neighbor!
Yes the women here are very tough and don't let a little thing like age slow them down. She is in the top of an apple tree trimming with a hand saw. She has 3 grandchildren one of which is a teenage boy and a grown son but still decides to do it herself!
Stopping for a short break.
The first few days of Spring have sprung so we decided to take a long walk just outside of town. 3 maybe 4 miles and about a mile into it Luke found a pet rock that he decided to carry all the way home. He probably carried it 2 miles or more and wouldn't let anyone else help. It wasn't a pocket rock, it was a little larger then a softball and probably weighed 3 or 4 pounds.
Hello Ukraine, our home away from home away from home
The kids had never seen a real phone booth before so we took a picture of them.
Blue Lake
Here we are standing next to a huge natural spring that's about an hour from our house. It was the clearest blue green water I had ever seen. We ate my favorite meal, Shashleak at a little place right on the lake. It was great!!
The hills are alive with the sound of....
Do you hear music? Do you hear singing?
Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate
I'm in Heaven!!!!!! Yes that is a 4.5 pound block of Chocolate.

This is Luke after a hard day of playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Whitney in Training
Here is Whitney after her first lesson with Grandma at cricket, I mean tennis. She could be the next Venus Williams; minus 120 pounds, 3 feet 2 inches and the good tan.
Grandmas new bikes.
Today Grandma had a great idea to buy some bikes for the kids to enjoy while here at the house. They had a blast and I'm sure we'll have to force them to come in tonight.
